When in your life you feel like its you against the world

And you feel the strength of Satan is continually hurled

And the battle makes you weary but your flag is yet unfurled

"I shall be glorious in the eyes of the Lord and my God shall be my strength"


When you feel your strength is waning and your lungs are short on air

When you feel the battle raging and the odds just don't seem fair

When the burden you are bearing seems much too hard to bear

"I shall be glorious in the eyes of the Lord and my God shall be my strength"


When the enemy is closing and your back's against the wall

When you feel that any moment is when you'll finally fall

Just trust in him who loves you, and listen to his call

"I shall be glorious in the eyes of the Lord and my God shall be my strength"


If we can not be a prophet, we need not show alarm

We can still defeat the beast and come thru it all unharmed

We can be like Aaron and hold up the prophet's arm

"I shall be glorious in the eyes of the Lord and my God shall be my strength"


If we can not be like Samson, the strongest man on earth

If we can not be like Solomon, whose wisdom had no worth

We can be just like the shepherds and proclaim the Savior's birth

"I shall be glorious in the eyes of the Lord and my God shall be my strength"


So when in your life you feel things are too rough for you

Just exercise your faith in God, he'll help you see it thru

With God nothing ever is impossible to do

"I shall be glorious in the eyes of the Lord and my God shall be my strength"
