| What Will You Say? In
the twinkling of an eye, in a brilliant burst of
light
Christ
came just like He said He would -- a thief in the
night
But
there I stood prepared to meet my Maker face to
face
I'd
been good and I just knew I was going to the
heavenly place
So, there I stood and waited my turn, totally
unnerved
I
felt sorry for some, that's true, but the rest
would get what they deserved
I
practiced how I'd introduce myself unto the Lord
I thought I'd say,
"Lord
I've been good, should I just climb aboard?"
When in the middle of my plans, a voice took me
by surprise
There
stood a man I knew from work, hurt shown in both
his eyes
He
said to me, "Hey, I know you, how could I
forget?
There
was something about you that I sensed from the
first day that we met"
"You seemed to have a little spark, I didn't
know 'til now
That
it was God inside your heart, I should've known
somehow
But
I didn't know God, never have, I didn't
understand
I
needed someone who knew the Lord to offer me
their hand"
"How I hungered for the Truth, I didn't know
where to go
All
you had to do for me was tell me what you know
But
I lived my life, you lived yours, I waited, you
postponed
Now
Christ is here to judge the world and I face Him
all alone"
"You had every chance to help, I guess you
didn't care
After
all you had the Truth; why did you have to share?
But
you don't have to explain to me, I was barely
just a friend
But
when it's your turn to talk to Christ . . .
What
will you say to Him?
