| Cancelled Flight I sit
alone in my darkened room just staring into space
I should have been with you by now, staring at
your face
We had made so many plans to celebrate this night
We had planned for everything, except a cancelled
flight
I imagine you in your darkened room and wishing I
was there
And thinking of the weekend lost that just seems
so unfair
I open up the wine I chose to toast our love anew
And close my eyes and make a silent toast to us,
to you
I turn on our favorite song, and wipe away a tear
I wish that I was there with you, or that you
could just be here
Sometime tonight I know you'll call, but it won't
be the same
We had hoped to turn the spark of love into a
roaring flame
I'll try to hide my disappointment when you
finally call
And I know you'll do the same, but we can't hide
it all
Because we made so many plans to celebrate this
night
We had planned for everything, except a cancelled
flight
